Sims 3 Delayed Until June 3

Electronic Arts announced that their highly-anticipated Sims 3 is now delayed. Originally slated for a February 20 release date, now will be on store shelves June 2.

This unfortunate announcement was followed by more unfortunate news, as EA announced a $641 million quarterly loss, even with increasing revenue.

Russell Arons, Vice President of Marketing for EA said  “The June launch combined with the break-through game the team is building gives us the perfect runway to create awareness for The Sims 3“.

This is both good and bad for EA. It’s bad that they lost $641 million, like, really bad. But, pushing the Sims 3 back will give the developers more time to fit quality into their title. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens later this summer.
