Lich King Owns PC Sales Chart

Yesterday’s NPD showed some surprises. The Wii selling over 2 million last month alone, Call of Duty: World At War shooting up to #2 on the top selling software list, Mirror’s Edge not anywhere to be found, and World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King topping the PC sales chart.

The second Blizzard expansion continues to sell and continues to be the dominant PC game. Now over 11 million subscribers strong, the critically acclaimed MMO shows no sign of stopping any time soon. The WoW: Battle Chest is at #6 on the PC chart while the original WoW is at #11, and the Burning Crusade at #16. Blizzard seems to be in good shape with these numbers along with their sister company Activision, which made the #3 spot with Call of Duty: World at War.
